A method for storing a favorite route in a navigation system is provided to simply store the favorite route in the memory by continuously touching a map displayed on a screen and matching touch positions with a link. A method for storing a favorite route in a navigation system comprises the steps of displaying a map on a screen of a display unit(S200), touching a touch screen attached to the front surface of the screen(S206), displaying touch positions on the screen by matching the touch positions with a link displayed on the map when the touch position is shifted and an input command for a favorite route is input through a command input unit(S210), and storing the link, which matches with the touch positions, in the memory as the favorite route(S216).
