An image forming apparatus is provided to reduce color miss-registration which results from tolerance of gears by adjusting an initial mounted position based on tolerance profiles of some of the gears which are arranged on a driving gear train. An image forming apparatus(100) comprises a plurality of photosensitive members, a drive source(110), and a driving gear train. The photosensitive members have a transfer point of transferring an image to a transfer objector. The drive source drives more than two photosensitive members. The driving gear train includes photosensitive member shaft gears(200Y,220M,220C,220K) which are connected with the photosensitive members, and connection gears(230,240,250,260,270,280) which transfer power to the photosensitive member shaft gears. A gear ratio of the connection gears which are placed to a j-th row from the photosensitive member shaft gears is L/piD.1/Rj. (D is a diameter of photosensitive members; L is a distance between two transfer points of neighboring photosensitive members; Rj is a speed reduction ratio from the j-th connection gear to a photosensitive member shaft gear).
