<p>A method for controlling resource allocation of a forward channel in a mobile communication system is provided to allow a plurality of users to share radio resources while maintaining QoS by effectively controlling allocation of forward channels to each service. A radio resource utilization rate in a forward channel of a mobile communication is monitored(510). A base station detects whether there is a request for a new call among a plurality of MSs(Mobile Stations)(520). When a request for a new call is detected from one of the MSs, the base station analyzes a service type, a forward resource allocation type and an attribute of the detected new call(530). The base station determines whether to allocate a forward channel to the requested call based on a current resource occupancy rate(540). The base station compares the radio resource occupancy rate with a certain threshold value, and if the current radio resource occupancy rate is smaller than the certain threshold value, the base station allocates radio resources including the forward channel(550).</p> |
