A beam of a steel frame construction is provided to improve bending strength of the beam by connecting a main beam with a reinforcing beam through a connection member. A beam of a steel frame construction comprises a column(4), a reinforcing beam(8), a main beam(6), and a connection member(12). The reinforcing beam is fixed to the column and includes two unit beams(10) having the same size and extending in the same line horizontally. The main beam is connected with the reinforcing beam through the connection member. Upper and lower flanges of the unit beams are welded to each other to make the reinforcing beam. The connection member has the same structure as the reinforcing beam and connects with the reinforcing beam by fastening bolts and with the main beam through welding.
