A method and a system for adjusting content processing in a mobile delivery framework are provided to facilitate mobile contents delivery by using an enabler based on a contents processing adjustment rule embedded in a metadata envelope. A system includes a CP(Content Provider)(110), a contents delivery enabler, an external enabler, and a contents client(150). The CP embeds external reference and a contents processing adjustment rule in mobile contents delivery metadata related to contents to be provided. The external enabler processes the contents through the contents delivery enabler based on the contents processing adjustment rules. The contents client consumes the contents received from the CP. The contents delivery enabler includes a delivery server(120) processing the metadata received from the CP and a delivery client(140) processing the received metadata. The contents processing adjustment rule is an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) package type status chart.
