A white light source device is provided to reduce non-uniformity of color by combining a light emitting element and a sheet in which fluorescent material is dispersed. A white light source device includes a light emitting diode light source(11), a rod lens(21), a fluorescent material sheet(31), a condenser lens(12), and a reflector. The rod lens emits a uniform light beam from an exit end surface after making an incident light beam that enters an entrance end surface from the light emitting diode light source uniform. The fluorescent material sheet is provided in the vicinity of the exit end surface of the rod lens. The condenser lens condenses beams of light emitting from the light emitting diode light source on the entrance end surface of the rod lens. The reflector condenses beams of light emitting from the light emitting diode light source on the entrance end surface of the rod lens. The light emitting diode light source is provided in the vicinity of the entrance end surface of the rod lens. |
