A tire cord is provided to have not only the safety but also the durability and the improved sense of ride when performing the high speed driving. The tire cord comprises a composite fiber(10) having one or more core components(11) and a sheath component(12) for encompassing the core components. The core component includes polyethylene the naphthalate fiber and the sheath component also includes the nylon fiber. In the composite fiber, the ratio of the core component to the sheath component is about the ratio of 55-80 to 20-45. The polyethylene naphthalate is offered as an island component to a composite spinning device when manufacturing the composite fiber. A nylon 66 is offered as a sea component and then spun at the spinning speed of 2000m/min. Thereafter, the spun yarn is drafted by the drafting ratio with 1.6 times at 140°C so that the composite fiber with 1000 denier is manufactured.
