The fixing consists of a bracket (3) which is stuck to the underside of the surround (2) panel by both temporary (31) and permanent adhesives. There is a wedge (5) to support the rim (11) and press it against a mastic seal (13), and a holder (42) which fixes to the bracket by a screw and holds the wedge in place. The upper section of the bracket is shaped to receive two side strips of a temporary adhesive, which allow the fixing to be positioned, and a central layer of a permanent adhesive which holds the fixing in place once it has set.
