<p>An ultrasound system and a method for forming an ultrasound image are provided to observe angiostenosis or occlusion of a blood vessel by reformatting a 2D image corresponding to a target area set along a subject. An ultrasound system(100) includes a transceiving unit(110), a volume data generation unit(130), an image process unit(140), and a display unit(170). The transceiving unit transmits an ultrasound signal to a subject and receives the ultrasound signal reflected from the subject to generate a receiving signal. The volume data generation unit generates volume data of the subject based on the receiving signal. The image process unit forms a 3D image from the volume data through inversion volume rendering and reformats a 2D image by receiving set information of a start point and an end point of a target area set in the subject and setting the target area in the subject. The display unit displays the 3D image and the 2D image.</p> |
