<p>A method for service changeover when a dual down state occurs in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) having a dual MP(Main Processor) structure is provided to prevent the occurrence of a service interruption and maintain the stabilization of a service network by swiftly and seamlessly providing mobile services through a 2G system in case a dual down state happens in an MSC located where a 1X network and a 2G network are overlaid. In case failure occurs in a No.7 signaling link as a dual down state happens in an MSC having a dual MP structure(S301), a BMP(BSC Main Processor), connected with the MPs of the MSC through the No.7 signaling link, recognizes the failure(S302). In this case, the BSC virtually shuts down the BMP by intercepting communication with each base station which is under its management(S303). Accordingly each base station, indicating that the BMP has been shut down, transmits an SRM(Service Redirection Message)(S304).</p> |
