A LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to vary rapidly polarities of data charged in first and second pixel cells by shifting the charged data toward a polarity direction of data to be received during a display period using a preliminary charge unit. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD panel(200) and a preliminary charge unit(220). The LCD panel includes plural first and second pixel cells which display images by receiving data with opposite phases each other. The preliminary charge unit connects electrically between the first and second pixel cells before receiving the data of the first and second pixel cells, and disconnects electrically between the first and second pixel cells while the first and second pixel cells receive the data.
