A coupler 201 has a body portion, a linearly movable rail 235 moved by an actuator, an open jaw 207 in which a mounting formation of a tool may be received when the rail 235 is retracted relative to the open jaw 207 and in which a mounting formation of a tool may be trapped when the rail 235 is advanced so as to restrict the opening to the jaw 207, the coupler 201 further comprising a safety hook 260 extending from the rail 235 across the opening to the jaw 207 to retain the mounting formation, the safety hook 260 comprises a recess surface 271 which provides a wide enough gap between the end of the jaw 207 and the recess surface 271 to allow entry or exit of the mounting formation into the recess of the jaw 207, when the recess surface 271 is aligned opposite the end of the jaw 207. A second, rear jaw may receive a second mounting formation of a tool. |
