The cutter (3) has a milling head (4) on which a cutting edge (6) is arranged. The milling head is made of solid carbide. A shaft section is connected to the milling head in a single piece manner. The shaft section is provided in a steel intermediate piece that is connectable with a tool holder (2). The shaft section is designed in such a manner that the shaft section is insertable into the tool holder. The milling head is provided with multiple cutting edges. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting of a ball end milling cutter on a machine tool. |
