The device has a pistol shaped handle (7) with a trigger element (8) acting on a piston (6) in order to move a fluid from a reservoir (5) into a hollow needle (2). A position indicator (3) is joined to the upper area of the device. The hollow needle (2) is accommodated inside a stepped sleeve (1), wider at its rear edge, in order to keep its shape when guided under computer-tomographic control. An independent claim is given for a guide rail to be used for connecting a surgical instrument.
