Electrosurgical instruments having at least two electrodes 226, 244 may be configured such that the electrodes are positioned at an angle relative to one another and/or are each configured to treat different tissue types. Power may be applied to one, some, or all of the electrodes utilizing various switching systems (figs 12-15) which may provide for sequential switching of the electrodes. Electrical monitoring of the electrodes, such as impedance measurements, may be used to control the power or switching of the electrodes. Preferably, one or more fluid lumens 234 is associated with the electrodes. The electrodes may comprise rings 226, chisels 244, interdigitated pairs (figs 5-9), and may be concentric (figure 10a). |
