摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a vehicle capable of miniaturizing the driving device or improving fuel economy. <P>SOLUTION: Since a switching clutch CO and a switching brake BO as a differential condition switching device for switching into a differential condition (a continuously variable condition) for operating a power distribution mechanism 16 as an electric continuously variable transmission and a steady gear shift condition for operating the power distribution mechanism 16 as a transmission having a fixed change gear ratio selectively are provided, the power distribution mechanism 16 is put into the steady gear shift condition in high speed running or a high speed rotation region of an engine 8 to transmit output of the engine 8 to a driving wheel 38 through an exclusively mechanical power transmission path and suppress conversion loss between power and electricity in order to improve fuel economy.
