The invention relates to an appliance (1), such as a refrigerator or a freezer, which is adapted for a built-in arrangement into a kitchen interior by positioning into an opening (6) in the kitchen interior. The appliance has a door (3, 3') being adapted to support a front door panel (10, 10') of the kitchen interior in alignment with other cabinet doors (11) in the kitchen interior. The appliance has essentially the same width as a standard free-standing appliance and is adapted to be mounted in the opening without any separate cabinet. The invention also relates to a method for mounting of an appliance into a kitchen interior.
