A suction plate of a vacuum cleaner using steam is provided to remove dust and foreign matters on the floor by installing suction devices at the rear side of a lower part of the suction plate and sucking the dust and foreign matters, using suction force of the suction fan. A suction plate(51) of a vacuum cleaner using steam comprises a body part and a suction part(50). The body part includes a suction fan and a water collecting part. The suction part includes steam holes(53) through which the steam heat generated from a steam part is discharged, and suction devices(52) for sucking dust and impurities, using suction force of the suction fan. Additional suction devices are installed at a rear of a lower surface of the suction plate to suck the dust and impurities forcibly. Opening and closing units(80) open and close the suction devices alternately based on the progressive direction of the suction plate. The opening and closing units include guide parts(81,81a), and opening and closing plates(82a) are installed at the guide parts.
