A connector is provided to form one end of a supporting contact piece of a connecting terminal as a free end to give elasticity to one end of an operating contact piece and one of the supporting contact piece, thereby preventing poor contact and improving contact reliability. A connector(10) includes a base(11), an H-shaped connecting terminal(30), a pawl(34), and an operating lever(40). The connecting terminal includes a supporting contact piece(31) and an operating contact piece(32) connected to each other through a connecting part(32a) and is inserted into each of holes(15) formed at the base at a predetermined pitch. The pawl is formed at one end of the supporting contact piece and grips the base. A flexible board is inserted into an opening(14) formed at one side of the base. The operating lever is rotatably attached to a bearing(37) of the supporting contact piece, which is located at the other side of the base. The operating lever and one end of the operating contact piece are operated to bring the other end of the operating contact piece into contact with the flexible board.
