A plasma display apparatus is provided to improve image quality thereof by applying sustain pulses with a reduced ER rising time to electrodes which are positioned at a center portion of a panel. A plasma display apparatus includes a panel. The panel includes plural scan and sustain electrodes, and address electrodes across the scan and sustain electrodes. In the plasma display apparatus driven by a dual scan scheme which scans two scan electrodes of the scan electrodes at the same time, an ER(Energy Recovery) rising time(ER_up) of a sustain pulse applied to the scan and sustain electrodes is reduced during a sustain period. An ER rising time supplied to scan and sustain electrodes which are positioned at a center portion of the panel among the plural scan and sustain electrodes is reduced. |
