An apparatus and a method for reproducing a wobble signal are provided to detect a wobble signal by adjusting the center frequency of a band pass filter according to the kind, play speed or drive type of a disc. An apparatus for reproducing a wobble signal comprises a first filter part(41), a second filter part(42), and a wobble clock signal generating part(45). The first filter part receives a wobble signal obtained by reading wobble formed on a disk and generates a first wobble output signal by passing a first band including a single frequency set according to the kind or play speed of the disk. The second filter part receives the wobble signal if more than one component of frequency is included in the wobble signal, and generates a second wobble output signal by passing a second band including a multiple frequency set according to the play speed of the disk. The wobble clock signal generating part generates the wobble clock signal by quantizing one of first and second wobble output signals.
