An aqueous ink composition for a non-toxic marker pen is provided to realize improved dispersibility and shelf stability, to prevent ink stains or spots from remaining on a non-absorptive material, and to show eco-friendly characteristics. An aqueous ink composition for a non-toxic marker pen comprises: 35-50 wt% of distilled water; 7-13 wt% of polyvinyl alcohol; 7-13 wt% of edible glycerin; 15-25 wt% of a coloring pigment; 1-3 wt% of ethylene glycol; 2-4 wt% of a dispersant; 4-7 wt% of an emulsifier; and 4-7 wt% of an anti-precipitating agent. The coloring pigment is selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, white carbon, calcium carbonate, precipitated magnesium carbonate, barium sulfonate, organic pigments and mixtures thereof. |
