A system and a method for processing credit payment by providing different credit payment tools by a payment amount are provided to reduce a waiting time of credit payment, and enable a VAN(Value Added Network) or credit card company server to process the payment stably by providing the different payment tool when the payment amount is smaller than a predetermined amount. A CAT(Card Authentication Terminal)(100) determines whether a payment amount corresponds to micropayment by receiving member information and payment information, generates/stores micropayment approval information after self-payment approval if the payment amount corresponds to the micropayment, and generates/requests payment approval request information including the member information and payment amount information if not. A VAN company server(200) determines whether the payment amount corresponds to the micropayment based on the payment approval request information received from the CAT, generates, stores, and returns the micropayment approval information to the CAT after processing the payment approval if the payment amount corresponds to the micropayment, and relays the payment approval request information to a credit card company server(300) if not. |
