A seat management system and an operation method thereof are provided to increase user convenience and maximize spatial efficiency of the library by managing seats of a library efficiently and fairly. A manager PC(3) authenticates a member by receiving a user ID/password and scanning a membership card, and manages entry of a user by connecting to entrance and exit gates(1,2). A member management server(4) includes a member database(5) storing member information, and entrance information, and is connected to the manager PC. An SMS(Short Message Service) server(6) transmits a call message to a mobile terminal(12) of the waiting member by receiving a direction from the manager PC. An issuance PC comprises a kiosk(7) and a usual PC(8) issuing a seat or waiting ticket by checking the remaining seats via the manager PC after membership authentication. A server transmits a waiting person call signal and an entrance information display signal on a screen of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel)(10) according to the direction of the manager PC. |
