A waste food treatment apparatus for a sink is provided to grind and dry waste food in the sink by using a grinding unit with press roller and a dry unit with a cooling and heating unit. A waste food treatment apparatus for a sink(2) comprises a treatment tub(10), a waste food inlet(20), a grinding unit, and a dry unit. The treatment tub is located under a drain hole of the sink. The waste food inlet is located at the top of the treatment tub. The grinding unit includes a housing(31), a pair of press rollers(32), and a conveyor screw(34). The housing cages the waste food inlet. The press rollers grind the waste food sent from the waste food inlet. The conveyor screw is installed under the press rollers and transfers the ground waste food out of the housing through a path(33). The dry unit includes a dry box and an air flow generation unit(42). The ground waste food from the grind unit is stored in the dry box. The air flow generation unit creates air for drying the waste food. Water drains through a net(21), and the waste food is left in the waste food inlet, with a door(22) closed. The door is opened and closed selectively and lets the waste food move to the treatment tub. A drain port(31a) is formed at the bottom of the housing to discharge the water from the waste food inlet. The air flow generation unit includes a cooling and heating unit equipped with a heating plate and a cooling plate. A rotative plate is installed at the bottom of the dry box to rotate the dry box through rotation of a motor. |
