A recording medium and a method for storing a data structure for storing variable size data, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a program thereof are provided to manage the variable size data by defining a sector and a block for storing the variable size data and to offer secrecy and integrity of the variable size data to be stored through encryption and message reduction operations. Disk information storing the number of sectors, the number of blocks comprising at least one sector, an ID of a first block used in the block, and a sector ID of the first unused sector is formed(510). The block having a predetermined size is allocated(520), and the number of sectors needed for storing variable size data is calculated(530). The calculated number of the sectors is compared with the number of unused sectors(540). The sectors corresponding to a difference are additionally allocated, and the unused sectors are connected to the additionally allocated sectors when the calculated number of sectors is bigger than the number of unused sectors(550). The block storing the variable size data is connected through the block ID of the next block.
