The disk brake has a brake caliper overlapping a brake disk and a brake actuating mechanism accommodated in the brake caliper. The brake caliper has a reinforcing mechanism for introducing a braking force in a thrust pad (1), which is arranged to slide in the brake caliper. The thrust pad has a thrust plate (2), which is connected with a brake lining holder (3) such that the thrust pad is guided to slide axially in the brake caliper by the brake lining holder during brake actuation and release of braking force. |
