摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a liquid crystal display that has simplified power source and can lower the breakdown voltage. SOLUTION: A common driver 17 sets the potential of a common electrode OV during positive pole driving. In addition, a source driver 14 sets the potentials V<SB>s(P, n)</SB>, V<SB>s(N, n)</SB>so determined as to satisfy equation: C=(V<SB>s(P, n)</SB>+V<SB>s(N, n)</SB>)/2-ΔV<SB>gd(n)</SB>in source wiring, according to gradation n, and positive pole driving or negative pole driving.
