PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which surely suppresses discharge noise while securing the lifetime and reliability of a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: An image forming unit 1K has a photoreceptor drum 2 and has a charger 3, a developing device 4, a transfer device 5, an eraser 70, and a cleaning device arranged therearound in order in a rotation direction thereof. The eraser 70 irradiates a surface area of the photoreceptor drum 2 between the transfer device 5 and the cleaning device 6. A surface layer of the photoreceptor drum 2 has fine particles of silica dispersed therein and has a finely rugged surface in an initial stage of duration. A lubricant having toner added thereto is given to the photoreceptor drum 2. The cleaning device 6 includes a dielectric cleaning blade 62 and a conductor blade holder 63.
