The fastener has a form-fit element (9) i.e. protrusion, provided in a floor mat (6). Another form-fit element (10) i.e. slots, is provided complementary to the form-fit element in a floor lining (2). The floor lining is provided such that the floor mat is held in the floor lining in a form-fit manner. The floor lining is elevated on a side (7) in a door sill area of a motor vehicle and on another side (8) in a tunnel area of the motor vehicle in a driving direction of the motor vehicle. The form-fit element (10) of the floor lining is arranged in a transition area of the floor lining.
