A clutch assembly and clutch plates utilized therein is provided which gives smooth engagement and high holding torque. The friction facing has differing coefficients of friction and different heights. Also claimed is a method of manufacture and a clutch assembly wiht a piston contacting the friction pack radially displaced from a radial centreline of the friction facings. |
