<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of preventing the internal resistance of the battery from increasing, even when a charge-discharge cycle is executed at a high temperature by suppressing irreversible reaction in a negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a saturated sulfocarboxylic acid anhydride or its derivative is contained in an electrolyte.
