<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic information use management system, in which a use time limit is provided on a content itself to designate how to handle it after the lapse of the period, and to provide a server device, a client device, and an information processing program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: In a client terminal 10 which receives a license, a content use time limit contained in the license is confirmed to check whether it is within the period or not. When the content time limit passes as the result, handling of a content is determined based on a handling method regulated in content handling information. For example, since "use limit cancel" is set in the content handling information, the content is decoded so that the user can freely use the content.
