OPTICAL ELEMENT, OPTICAL PICKUP, COMPLEMENTARY OPTICAL MEMBER, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical element fulfilling a prescribed optical function without using an optical film while avoiding problems such as film exfoliation and film cracks.

SOLUTION: A complementary optical member 13 wherein a complementary optical film SC for complementing an optical function which a fundamental optical film BC lacks is formed on a transparent substrate 11 is stuck to and laminated on a fundamental optical member 12 wherein the fundamental optical film BC demonstrating an optical function is formed on a transparent substrate 11. Since the complementary optical film SC for complementing the optical function by a minute amount is formed on the transparent substrate 11, the complementary optical film SC is not directly formed on the fundamental optical film BC but the complementary optical member 13 is laminated on the fundamental optical member 12 by an optical adhesive or the like to complement the function of the fundamental optical film BC. Thus the prescribed optical function can be obtained without inducing problems such as exfoliation and cracks of films.
