PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator which improves productivity and workability by inspecting a piezoelectric vibration element easily even after assembly, and is further thinned. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator has: a vessel body, where first and second recessed spaces are formed on one and the other surfaces, respectively; the piezoelectric vibration element mounted in the first recessed space; an integrated circuit element mounted in the second recessed space; and a lid body sealing the first recessed space airtightly. The second recessed space is formed adjacent to a piezoelectric vibration element mount surface formed by the first recessed space.
