PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of enhancing the convenience of data by easily carrying out edit processing and confirmation processing of data or the like. SOLUTION: A unique material identifier (UMID) of each of source data 452 is attached to a configuration table 451, and its own UMID is attached to each of the source data 452, and the UMID of the configuration table 451 and the UMID of each of the source data 452 are attached to an edit list 453; and an effect-attached editing list 454 is attached with the UMIDs of the source data 452 and the UMID of the original edit list 453, and each terminal traces the UMIDs to reference other data. Further, a metadata server generates and manages a reverse cross-reference table for the UMIDs and each terminal utilizes the table to reference the data.
