PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly correspond to various usage aspects on a user side, to simplify a system configuration, and to reduce a cost. SOLUTION: The state notifying system comprises: a plurality of slave units 1 connected to an installation 3; a master unit 2 for receiving input information based on states of input terminals I1 to I8 from the respective slave units 1. The state of an output terminal O1 of the master unit 2 is a logical addition of (the state of the input terminal I1 of the first slave unit 1<SB>11</SB>) OR (the state of the input terminal I1 of the second slave unit 1<SB>12</SB>) OR...OR (the state of the input terminal I1 of the eighth slave unit I<SB>18</SB>). The state of the output terminal O2 is the logical addition of (the state of the input terminal I2 of the first slave unit 1<SB>11</SB>) OR (the state of the input terminal I2 of the second slave unit 1<SB>12</SB>) OR...OR (the state of the input terminal I2 of the eighth slave unit 1<SB>18</SB>). The states of the other output terminals O3 to O8 are found from the input terminals I3 to I8 of the respective unit slaves 1<SB>11</SB>to 1<SB>18</SB>, similarly to the output terminals O1, O2.
