PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch antenna which is excellently compact in size with a novel constitution and can suppress to a minimum an adverse influence exerted on antenna performance when a fixed member is used. SOLUTION: A conductive plate material 3 for an antenna element is disposed oppositely to a ground plate 2 apart from the ground plate 2, and notched portions 10a, 10b, 10c, and 10d are formed at middle points of sides So1, So2, So3, and So4. Feed terminals 7a and 7b are disposed at peripheral ends of the adjacent notched portions 10a and 10d of the conductive plate material 3 for the antenna element, and formed by bending portions of the conductive plate material 3 for the antenna element toward the ground plate 2. Fixed members (4a, 4b, 4d, and 4d, 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d, and 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d) are disposed on diagonals L1 and L2 of the conductive plate material 3 for the antenna element, and fix the ground plate 2 and the conductive plate material 3 for the antenna element.
