PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in performing adjustment in a production line, a worker attaches a probe to a rough position on a display unit to adjust the display unit and thereby a variation is generated in the adjustment by an influence of the non-uniformity of the probe attaching position. SOLUTION: In an adjustment mode, the OSD of a cross-shape is performed on a screen of a receiver. Longitudinal and traversal straight lines of the cross-shape are altered in coordinate to change an intersecting point of the cross-shape. Then, the probe is attached on the intersecting point of the cross-shape and the OSD of a window is put in each of a plurality of positions on the screen of the receiver. Luminance and/or chromaticity are/is measured on each of the positions. Further, a reference value of the variation is calculated from data measured in the plurality of the positions, thus regulating the receiver at a position where the variation from the reference value is determined to be least.
