PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding gasket excellent in flexibility, elasticity and heat resistance and having good productivity. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding gasket 1 has a structure in which a core material 3 formed into a bundle by braiding and putting together a plurality of mesh bodies 2 obtained by cylindrically knitting SUS wires Ws by stockinet is covered with an external mesh body 4. The gasket is excellent in heat resistance because it is made of metal wire. Since each of the SUS wires Ws has a diameter of 0.04 mm, a knitting needle can be free from a large load, and the possibility of deterioration in production caused by breakage of the knitting needle can be prevented. The mesh bodies 2 are each excellent in elasticity and flexibility because small loops are formed for each stitch and the loops each work as a spring.
