PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a medium storage device operate stably regardless of change of a yaw angle. SOLUTION: A deformation control part 820 is provided with a purpose track obtaining part 821 obtaining information relating to a track purpose being a purpose of writing operation, a control quantity obtaining part 822 obtaining control quantity corresponding to the purpose track from control quantity management table 910, and a deformation element control part 825 varying distance between a reproducing head and a recording head by adding control quantity obtained by the control quantity obtaining part 822 to the deformation element.
