PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber structure in which ultrafine fibers are dispersed in the form of a single fiber without becoming bundles. SOLUTION: The method for producing the fiber structure includes forming a fiber structure containing polymer alloy fibers each composed of a plurality of polymers which are different in solubility, removing at least one of polymers different in the solubility to develop ultrafine fiber having a fiber diameter of 10-1,000 nm and jetting high-pressure fluid flow having a pressure of 0.1-20 Mpa to the resultant fiber structure containing fiber bundles in which the ultrafine fibers are assembled.
