PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of a grinding wheel, which removes adherent substances by efficiently cleaning the grinding wheel in a grinding device requiring removal processing of the adherent substances, and also to provide a grinding device having a cleaning means of the grinding wheel. SOLUTION: The grinding device is provided with a grinding wheel 11 used in grinding processing, and a cleaning means for removing adherent substances adherent to an action surface of the grinding wheel. The cleaning means has an adhesive sheet 21a overlapped on the action surface and adherent thereto, a roll-pressing roller 21b for roll-pressing this adhesive sheet adherent to the action surface, and a scraping tool 21e for scraping-off the adhesive sheet from the action surface.
