The equipment (15) handles sections of material (6-11) and comprises one or more handling units (16). Each is a multi-axis manipulator (18) with a handling tool (21) to pick up and deliver the sections. In novel design, the handling tool includes one or more rotary material carriers. These are designed to carry rolls or sections of material. Several sections of material are held. The manipulator is an articulated-arm robot, especially with a robot hand, which can be rotated about multiple axes. |
