<p>A sheets feed-in/feed-out device comprises an impeller (553) having flexible blades (5531) arranged rotatably through a rotating shaft (shaft member) (5521) in a mode for passing the blades (5531) through the passing region of paper money (sheets) for a temporary stocking section (stacking section) (25) and scraping the paper money on a conveyance passage (555) down into the temporary stocking section by allowing the blades (5531) to touch the paper money when it is fed into the temporary stocking section, and a covering member (561) having a covering portion (5611) at at least a part of the rotating shaft opposing the conveyance passage and arranged slidably along the axial direction of the rotating shaft such that the blades are retracted from the conveyance passage by tilting the blades through the covering portion when it is arranged in the outer circumferential region of the impeller. Consequently, the blade can be retracted from the conveyance passage without requiring a space for shifting the rotating shaft becoming the axis of rotation of the impeller. As a result, poor feeding or conveyance of sheets can be prevented without increasing the size of the device.</p> |
