A method for preventing transmission errors in a cell bus system and a cell bus master for the same are provided to isolate an abnormal cell bus slave completely from a cell bus system by resetting the power of the cell bus slave in case it is judged that the cell bus slave is defective in hardware as frame errors has been generated many times. A cell bus master(200), which transmits and receives data with a plurality of cell bus slaves through a common cell bus, comprises a frame signal receiving part(240), a cell bus slave control part(220), and a multiplexing reset processing part(280). The frame signal receiving part receives a frame signal, which is transmitted from one of the cell bus slaves in order to inform the cell bus master that the transmission of data starts, through the common cell bus. The cell bus slave control part judges whether the frame signal has an error. In case an error exists, the cell bus slave control part detects a cell bus slave which has generated the error, and supplies a hardware reset signal to the detected cell bus slave. The multiplexing reset processing part increases the reset count of the detected cell bus slave in response to the hardware reset signal. If the reset count is larger than a preset number, the multiplexing reset processing part supplies a power reset signal to the detected cell bus slave.
