<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate precursor excellent in hydrophilicity of a non-image area and its persistence and excellent further in adhesion of an image area to a support, irrespectively of the material of the support. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate precursor has, on the support, a hydrophilic layer formed by chemical bonding of a hydrophilic polymer having at least one of a reactive group capable of direct chemical bonding to the support surface and a reactive group capable of chemical bonding to the support surface via a crosslinked structure and a substituent having a positive charge to the support surface, and has an image forming layer on the hydrophilic layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
