<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support device for satisfactorily supporting a user's operation to a hierarchical menu using a display area of a limited size, and a network multi-function machine. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a ROM 11 which stores a plurality of menu items for performing operations related to copy function, facsimile function, network scanner function and network printer function according to a tree structure; an operation panel 15 which receives an operation for designating one of the plurality of menu items from the user; a menu control part 102 which displays one menu item on a display 16 for each of layers located on a path leading from a route menu item to the designated menu item; and a processing execution part 103 which executes processing related to the designated menu item. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
