<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which does not display an error even if there is no color toner when received printing data are data to be monochromatically printed (data dispensing with color printing). <P>SOLUTION: The printer 10 is constituted as an apparatus which judges, at an intermediate code level, whether or not each printing data in the printing data requires color printing, and also as an apparatus which does not check the residual amount of the color toner so long as printing data requiring the color printing are not found. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
