<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the drivability of a hybrid vehicle when it performs motor travel and to facilitate continuation of motor travel, in regard to the hybrid vehicle capable of being instructed to perform motor travel. <P>SOLUTION: In the hybrid vehicle 20, a determination is made as to whether or not motor travel can be performed when the vehicle is instructed to perform motor travel (S310, S320); if motor travel can be performed, a determination is made as to whether or not motor travel end announcing requirements are met (S330 to S350). If the motor travel end announcing requirements are not met, an engine 22 and a motor MG2 are controlled to perform motor travel; when the motor travel end announcing requirements are met, the engine 22 and the motor MG2 are controlled to perform motor travel and a meter display unit 90 is controlled to report, as an announcement of the end of motor travel, that the end of the motor travel is approaching (S390). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
